My name is Lynette Yung. I have been teaching abacus since 2005. I have three boys and they all have gone through the abacus curriculum. As a result, they gained strong number sense, and it also helped alleviate their math fear, which improved their confidence all around.
My mission is to make math fun, engaging, and accessible to everyone because this was not available when I was young child learning math.

Looking for a proven, hands-on approach to math tutoring that builds deep understanding and lasting confidence? Our Math Tutoring with an Abacus program uses the powerful Japanese Soroban method to help children master foundational math skills in a fun, visual, and engaging way.
Unlike traditional rote memorization, abacus-based math tutoring strengthens number sense, mental math, focus, and problem-solving skills. Students learn to visualize numbers, understand place value, and perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with clarity and speed.
Common Core isn’t evil. It isn’t “bad.” The real challenge is that it’s often poorly implemented—leaving many children confused instead of confident.
Children don’t struggle because they lack intelligence.
They struggle when concepts aren’t presented in a clear, structured, logical way.

Change how you show up. Abacus builds your confidence

Once kids start using an abacus, they can't stop learning math.
